The final round of the Sligo Pallets Irish Forestry championship will be hosted by the Clare Motor club this Saturday. The club are hosting a forestry for the first time in 42 years and have lead on 6 stages with it been a loop of 3 stages been run twice. Stages 3 and 6 are both 17km long something that is a rarity in Irish forestry rallying. Recently crowned champion Derek Mackeral will be number 1 on the road in his Ford Fiesta R5 as he looks to secure a top 6 placing to ensure his navigator Eamonn Creedon joins him in the championship success. David Condell and Andrew Purcell complete the top 3 seeds also in Fiestas. Michael Conlon with James Mc Enaney on the notes are the top modified seeds in their Mark 2 escort. While former World rally winner Peter Solberg is set to compete in a Land Rover defender.
